We’re Hiring! State of Formation Seeks a Communications Director

Due to some upcoming staffing changes, State of Formation will be hiring a new Communications Director this spring. Please help us spread the word about this fantastic opportunity!

State of Formation is seeking a part-time Communications Director to manage our regular communications and social media strategies. This position, which will comprise 5-7 remote hours/week on average, will oversee our daily social media presence, weekly newsletters, site visits and analytics reporting, and other various communications needs related to events, recruitment, and special opportunities.

Applicants should have experience with social media, be able to communicate thoughtfully and effectively with a variety of writers, partners, and stakeholders, and be willing to creatively collaborate with the Editorial Director to manage the State of Formation website and community. We are seeking someone committed to State of Formation’s mission to provide space and support for a plurality of interfaith voices in the ongoing and ever-growing conversation about religion, identity, justice, and education in the United States and the world. We also hope to find someone with a sense of humor who can adapt to changing concerns and needs.
